This week I am trying to figure out exactly what information I want in my project. I am going to do this by conducting further interviews and talking to my audience. I think by talking to them I will be able to see what will really help them and what will drive them to use my project. I am hoping that by talking to people further they will show some interest and excitement in my project which will help push me forward to finish out the research.

This week I was really able to dive into my survey results and come up with a lot of great takeaways. I feel like at this point I have a clear idea of what I want my app to be, I want it to be a space that people go in the moment to lead them through guided coping methods. I want the methods to be physical activities that also involve music. At this point I think I just need to dive a little deeper and figure out exactly how I want this to work and look. Going forward I want to conduct some interviews with potential users and figure out what they would be interested in seeing on the app and what would really make them want to use it.

This week I have continued to work on my research, but I just feel like I am at a place where I am slightly stuck. I feel like I have so much data to go through and so much more research to do that I am overwhelmed with it all. Doing the round robin also scared me some having to do the last slide of starting form making. I feel like I am not nearly far enough into my research to be able to start sketching forms because I am not sure where exactly I am going with it. Moving forward I am just going to continue to try to organize my data and find my direction.

This week I have received a lot of feedback on my survey. I got way more responses than I thought I would, which makes me feel hopeful that I am creating a project that people are really interested in and that can potentially really help people. I now just need to really dive into all the answers I received and see if there are any common trends or anything that stands out as a problem that I can solve. Also, through this survey I have gathered a lot of people who are willing to do interviews so I will be able to talk more in depth with people as well. Now I just need time, time and more time!

This week I have started to get more excited about my upcoming research. I think that once I am able to start doing my interviews and surveys, my direction will become clearer. I am excited to narrow my focus so that I can start figuring out exactly how I want to help people and what form this will take. I am currently considering a few different forms so I think finding out what is already out there and what is working for people will be very telling for me. As well as my primary research, I am planning on doing secondary research to get a more general understanding as well.

This week I am back to being skeptical about my topic. After doing my rough draft and faculty review presentation I realized how much further I need to go to solidify exactly what I am doing. I know that this class was made specifically for us to work on our topics and figure out the logistics and research, but I am suddenly feeling very rushed and pressured about it all. I think this process is just moving way faster than I expected it to and I thought I would have more time to figure things out. I think in the end it will be fine and be worth it but right now it is all just feeling pretty crazy.

This week I started feeling even better about choosing my topic. I am at a point now where I have a pretty set overarching project and now, I just need to work on narrowing down to exactly what I want to do with it. I think once I start doing the actual research on anxiety, I will narrow it down to exactly what I want to focus on. Overall, I want to be able to create something that will be able to help people with their anxiety, whether that is understanding their anxiety, finding ways to cope or even creating some form of an outlet for them to express their anxiety. I am excited to move forward to see what I end up doing.
